The main objective of periodontology is to prevent, diagnose and treat periodontal disease.

Periodontitis
This periodontal disease should not be underestimated, as it can even cause tooth loss!
We call it periodontitis (or pyorrhea) and no longer gingivitis when the infection of soft tissues also spreads to the underlying bone tissue.
The symptoms are similar to those previously indicated, but the main alarm bell that should really make you take remedial actions is the increased dental mobility.
