may be the solution you’ve been looking for.
This is an innovative and safe technique that allows you to approach dental care
in a state of deep relaxation but remaining alert and cooperative.

By trusting us, you can be assured that you are in experienced and competent hands.
Marano Dental Experience: the first practice in Europe with the new Sedation Machine
Innovation and safety have always been at the core of our mission.
Therefore, we are proud to announce that Marano Dental Experience will be the first practice in Europe
to use the all-new Porter Midas Flowmeter and eAVS,
a state-of-the-art system for conscious sedation that provides extremely precise regulation of nitrous oxide and oxygen,
offering unprecedented control and superior patient comfort.
This innovative device, developed by Porter Instrument,
enables even safer and more personalized delivery of sedation, further reducing the risk of hypoxia and maximizing patient well-being.
With this technology, we can ensure an even more relaxing and stress-free dental experience for both adults and children.
What is conscious sedation and how does it work?
Conscious sedation is an anesthetic technique that induces a state of deep relaxation without loss of consciousness.
In our practice it is practiced by inhaling a mixture of oxygen and nitrous oxide
administered through a small nasal mask.
After a few breaths, the patient experiences a pleasant feeling of calm and serenity:
tensions ease, fear diminishes, and everything seems more bearable.
While feeling very relaxed, the patient remains awake and conscious at all times:
he will be able to respond to the dentist’s requests, cooperate by opening his mouth, and move around if necessary.
This distinguishes conscious sedation from full anesthesia,
in which instead one loses consciousness completely.
With conscious sedation there is no complete “falling asleep,”
but only a deep state of controlled tranquility.
The beauty of this technique is that the sedative effect is modulatable:
the dentist can adjust the percentage of nitrous oxide delivered in real time,
according to the patient’s individual needs and response.
At the end of the procedure, simply breathe in a few minutes of pure oxygen to eliminate any residual effect of the gas.
The patient in a few minutes is perfectly lucid again,
ready to go home without any uncomfortable after-effects or grogginess.
